Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Electrical Engineer Lead – Data Centers serves as the main technical authority and discipline lead for all electrical engineering matters across IREN’s portfolio of data centre projects.
This role provides strategic oversight, governance, and leadership for electrical system design, power distribution infrastructure, equipment integration, and operational support across capital projects and manufacturing initiatives. The Lead ensures technical excellence, standardization, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and reliable power system performance across all regions.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering(Master’spreferred).
- P.Eng. registration in Texas (registration in Oklahoma would be an asset).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in low voltage power systems, switchgear/switchboards, and generator integration within industrial, manufacturing, or datacenterenvironments.
- Demonstrated experience acting as electrical discipline lead or senior technical authority on complex projects.
- Strongexpertiseinequipment validation, protection systems, and power distribution products.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, etc.).
- Experience supporting manufacturing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and commissioning activities.
- Ability to lead technical risk assessments and provide executive-level recommendations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with datacenterclients or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Act as the electrical engineering discipline lead and technical authority for low voltage systemsandpower distribution equipment, andtheirintegration across all projects.

- Establish andmaintainelectrical engineering standards, design criteria, and technical specifications to ensure consistency, safety, and reliability across products and installations.
- Provide final technical review and approval of electrical designs, calculations, and deliverables prepared internally or by external consultants and vendors.
- Oversee the design and validation of low voltage electrical systems for custom-manufactured equipment including switchboards, generators, and other power distribution products.
- Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations for electrical systems prior to release for production or installation.
- Serve as the primary electrical interface between engineering, manufacturing, QA/QC, project management, and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership during customer interactions, supporting complex discussions related to power system design, performance, and compliance.
- Ensure technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and test reports meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identifytechnical risks related to electrical systems and provide mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Mentor andprovidetechnical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional team members.
- Monitor industry trends, evolving codes, and regulatory changes in the datacenterand electrical manufacturing sectors, ensuring proactive integration into company standards.
