Job Summary
LP Analyst is seeking a detail-oriented and technically motivated Data Analyst to join our operations team. In this role, you will work alongside a collaborative team responsible for the collection, processing, and delivery of financial data to our clients. You will contribute directly to the automation and ETL workflows that power our data pipelines, helping to build, maintain, and improve the systems that move financial data reliably and at scale.
This role is well-suited for someone who is comfortable working with data at a technical level — writing Python scripts, querying databases, and supporting pipeline automation — while also understanding the financial data context that underpins our work. You will be embedded within our operations team and will play a hands-on role in day-to-day execution alongside your teammates.
Key Responsibilities
Support the build-out and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines that collect, transform, and load financial data from multiple sources into our internal platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Leverage AI-based tools for automated data extraction and validation, helping to assess output quality and flag exceptions that require review or correction
Write and optimize SQL queries to support data transformation, validation, and quality assurance across our internal data platform
Identify manual, Excel-heavy workflows and assist in transitioning them to automated, repeatable solutions
Monitor pipeline performance and data quality, flagging and resolving issues to ensure accurate and timely client data delivery
Interpret varied reporting formats and practices across private capital strategies, applying judgment to ensure data is accurately captured and consistently represented regardless of source format
Communicate effectively with team leads, senior colleagues, and non-technical teammates, translating technical processes and findings into clear business terms and escalating issues through appropriate channels
Contribute to documentation of pipelines, data flows, and processes to build shared knowledge across the team
Assist in testing and QA of new pipeline builds and enhancements before deployment
Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal teams, pulling and summarizing data as needed to support day-to-day business operations
Adhere to data governance standards including naming conventions, data definitions, and data integrity practices, with an awareness of the accuracy and compliance expectations of a financial services environment
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including client services, to meet service-level agreements and data delivery deadlines, adapting to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications and Skills
0–3 years of experience in a data, analytics, or operations role
Hands-on experience with Python, including writing scripts for data processing or automation
Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries to extract, transform, and validate data
Exposure to AI-based data tools or a demonstrated curiosity about applying AI and automation to data workflows
Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline fundamentals
Proficiency in Excel and/or Power Query for data manipulation and analysis
Understanding of financial data — fund accounting, investment data, or financial statements experience — is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to data quality
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
