This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Power BI reporting, supporting data quality and governance standards, and serving as a first point of contact for analytics requests. The position works closely with business partners, data stewards, and the Analytics/BI Manager to ensure insights are accurate, accessible, and aligned with business needs. The position will report to the Analytics/BI Manager and is a hybrid role, based at Pompeian Headquarters, 4201 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, MD. with room for growth and opportunity.   Business Data Analytics Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field 2–4 years of experience in Power BI, Data Analytics, SQL, reporting, or related field Experience with Power BI and SharePoint online with strong data visualization skills, particularly in translating data into clear, actionable insights, and next steps Demonstrates data curiosity and analytical mindset, with attention to detail and a desire to understand business drivers Effective communication skills, ability to work across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Ability to manage multiple priorities, multiple stakeholders, and departments in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and validation   Business Data Analytics Pay & Perks: Starting range is 65-85K with opportunities for advancement 401K 401K matching Health, Vision, Dental Insurance, 100% monthly premium funded by Pompeian for a single or family  Health Reimbursement Account Paid vacation, 40 hours paid sick leave, 9 paid holidays, 2 paid floating holidays Annual safety shoe allowance Paid time off for Jury Duty, Bereavement Leave, and Volunteer Events Employee Referral Bonus Program Free Employee Assistance Program for employees and household members Employee led programs for wellness, diversity, and planned community events Educational Assistance Program Family Scholarship Program Opportunity to work with a 2025 USA Today Top Workplace, Top 2024 Workplace in manufacturing, compensation & benefits and one of Maryland healthiest business   Business Data Analytics Job Responsibilities: Analytics Help Desk & Intake Serve as first point of contact for analytics requests and work across departments to independently resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues Escalate architectural or complex modeling issues as needed Triage tickets, gather requirements, and assign priority in collaboration with Analytics/BI Manager Data Quality & Governance Support Execute data validation checks and reconciliation routines Support dataset documentation, lineage tracking, and metadata completion Assist with certified dataset processes and governance compliance and perform root‑cause analysis on recurring data quality issues Power Query & SQL Support Execute basic to intermediate SQL queries for validation and reporting support Maintain and update existing ETL processes utilizing SQL, DAX, M Code, and Power Query (M) transformations. Assist in testing and validating Azure data pipeline outputs AI & Advanced Analytics Skills Strong understanding of how to translate business questions into effective AI prompts and analytical logic Experience using AI tools to accelerate analytics workflows, including SQL, DAX, and data modeling tasks Ability to leverage AI for data exploration, anomaly detection, and insight generation while validating results for accuracy Enablement & Adoption Assist with report documentation and user guides Support training sessions and office hours Help promote Power BI best practices, self‑service adoption, data democratization across the organization   About us: The Olive Oil People – is America's largest national brand of olive oil, bestselling vinegars and a variety of cooking sprays.
